About Karen
Karen has been the Coordinator and Facilitator of the Wednesdays Program at the Morro Bay Library since 2006, in which she has led the Readers' Community Book Discussion Group, organized author events, and challenged participants to read and discuss different types of books that they might not have otherwise chosen. Because of her special love of mysteries, she also facilitates and coordinates the 4th Wednesdays Mystery Readers Group. From January 2012 through February 2013, she worked with the Branch Manager to facilitate the program, 4th Wednesdays @ the Movies. In this role she served as the Discussion Leader directly following the movie.
Karen has a Masters of Arts in Education with major emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. She also has a Certificate in Management Development from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
For the past few years, she has been a Live-Now Leadership Life Coach providing private consultations and workshops that teach individuals, groups and families how to program their life for success.
Karen, a retired faculty emeritus college instructor and program coordinator, taught Leadership and Peer Counseling courses at Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo, CA for 17 years, and has over 23 years experience in community college teaching and management. She is also the author of “Opening Doors to College Success” which was published by Kendall/Hunt.
Karen is excited to welcome you to the Morro Bay Book Discussion Group – a free program of the Morro Bay Library, funded by the Morro Bay Friends of the Library.
