January 1st, 2016

This morning I woke up with this quote swimming in my head... “Books are like beacons of light opening our world to infinite possibilities.”

This is certainly true for me, and has been such a wonderful gift since I began my second life at the Morro Bay Library. I have no idea if this quote belongs to anybody, or if it is mine to claim. Still, I can't help but wonder what I was dreaming. Either way, I hope this year you will find books to be beacons for you. And, if you haven't yet, I hope you also might consider joining a Book Group. It can bring you such a wonderful sense of community! Cheers to a fabulous new year! — Karen S. Robert

The Morro Bay Book Discussion Group is a free program of the Morro Bay Library.

We are made up of a community of readers and students of life interested in learning and exploring, who come together to discuss books.

Please download the booklists above to know which book we are discussing each week.

Through your enthusiasm for the Wellness Wednesdays program, you have shared how important it would be to have a place to talk about health and wellness issues on a regular basis that mattered most to women. So, I am happy to announce that we have created a forum that will do just that! Go to live-now.org for more details!

Come to any or all sessions!
